What is the difference between traditional stone veneer and thin stone?
Both are 100% natural stone products. Traditional stone veneer is what we refer to as ?full thickness? cut to be 4″ to 6″ in thickness.? The weight of the product requires a supporting ledge or footer for installation.? Thin stone is a veneer cut to ?? to 1 1/2? in thickness.? At this thickness, no footer is required. You?ll use less material and installation is easier and faster than the full thickness veneer.? If you are remodeling (replacing stucco, brick or siding with stone), then you will most likely need to use thin stone veneer.

Manufactured stone is well, man-made or fake. It is cast from cement in molds and hand colored with iron oxide pigments. It is designed to imitate the aesthetic of natural stone. Thin stone is 100% natural, colorfast, and is not affected by the salt air. Unlike manufactured stone, it will not fade or discolor with time, and is not affected by scratching and chipping of the surface.
